Mouse Maple #1568. This Mouse 30 bass features a semi-hollow alder body, and a 1 piece maple drop top. One piece tops are rare, and this one has a really nice natural quality that I like, in addition to 3D curly figure. The drop top is made by steaming the maple wood, and then putting it into a vacuum press, to wrap it around the alder body, producing a substantial arm contour. The 30” scale neck is made from rich colored mahogany and has a lined fretless Goncalo Alves fingerboard and matching bridge. The alder body in combination with the mahogany neck produces an overall warm, woody sound, with a sweet top end and punchy midrange. This Mouse 30 bass weighs in at exactly 5 lbs!
