Mouse 30 Paduk #1519. This fine Mouse 30 bass features a semi-hollow alder body, with a paduk wood top, sans binding. This is a “drop top” model where the thin top wood is steamed and glued to a generous arm contour on the body. The 30” scale neck is from eastern rock maple, with an unlined two-tone macasser ebony fingerboard, (and matching bridge). The unlined fingerboards seem to have a slightly more resonant tone, due to the lack of saw cuts (for either frets or guidelines) and this one is no exception- it sings like a bird. This unique bass comes with a locally made custom case (Los Angeles, Ca) that fits the bass like a glove.
