Mouse 30 Maple Fretless Bass #1510
Mouse 30 Maple #1510. This fine Mouse features a semi-hollow alder body, with a heavily figured upgrade western “big leaf” maple top, with the f-hole option sans binding. I’m not certain that it gets too much better than this, if you have a fondness for the bold pattern of western maple. The 30” scale neck is from eastern rock maple, with a Goncalo Alves fingerboard (with integrated thumbrest feature). These unlined fingerboards really bring the mojo, in that they have no saw cuts for the line markers; this lack of interruption adds a bit more resonance and sustain, plus is a beautiful, simple look. I especially like this one due to the juxtaposition of the dramatic top wood and a perfectly clear fingerboard. A custom made form fit case (local, from Los Angeles) is included.
