Mb-2 Walnut #1511. This fine Mb-2 bass features a semi-hollow alder body, a curly walnut top, f-hole and faux tortoiseshell binding. The Claro walnut for the top is salvaged from downed walnut trees in Northern California. This is a gorgeous example, with and incredible color spectrum of brown, red, tan, and everything in between. the 34” scale neck is from birdseye maple, with an unlined quartersawn macasser ebony f.b.; it doesn’t get much cleaner that this design wise! Since there are no saw cuts for line markers, the undisturbed grain of the fingerboard produces slightly more resonance. This combined with the Rotosound Tru-Bass 88 strings produces a sound that is both thick and punchy, while being resonant at the same time.
