Mb-2 Maple 5 String Bass# 1521. This beautiful Mb-2 bass features a semi-hollow swamp ash body with a beautiful flame maple top, sans binding. This is a drop top model with a generous arm contour. The thin top wood is steamed so it will bend, then vacuum clamped over the contoured ash body back. This maple has just the right amount of flame, and also some very beautiful subtle color variation in it. The 35” scale neck is from birdseye maple, with a lined fretless Macasser ebony fingerboard and matching bridge. This ebony is of a lighter hue, and goes perfectly with the maple in my opinion. This instrument comes with a deluxe quality gig bag that is highly protective, featuring a light frame built into the construction of the bag. This bass weighs a mere 6.5 lbs!
