Mouse Walnut #1567. This fine Mouse 30 bass features a rare one piece swamp ash body, and an eastern black walnut top, sans binding. Colors elude to coffee with cream and the top has a beautiful open grain quality. The 30” scale neck is also made from eastern black walnut with a unlined fretless fingerboard made from well seasoned Indian rosewood and matching bridge. These rosewood boards were seasoned for a minimum of 30 years and perfect for instrument making. One of the benefits of an unlined fingerboard is that the lack of saw cuts (for frets or lines) results in exceptional resonance. The semi hollow lightweight ash body combined with the walnut neck makes a very punchy yet warm sounding instrument. Completing the overall look is a black hardware set that makes for a particularly striking bass. A deluxe quality form fit hardshell case (made locally in Los Angeles) is included.
