Deep 5 Walnut High-C Fretless #1434. This Deep 5 bass features a semi-hollow alder body (with “honeycomb” style hollow chambers, producing a very light, yet rigid body) with a premium curly claro walnut drop top. The drop top feature utilizes a thinner top (1/8”) which allows for a more substantial arm contour. The 34” scale neck is from eastern black walnut with rosewood strips, with a lined ebony fingerboard and matching ebony bridge. The bass is strung from E to high C, and the 34” scale helps to keep the C string very full sounding. In addtiion La Bella makes the C string special to my spec with added silk, which adds body to the C string so that when you play through the range of the instrument it has a very consistent tonality. A custom made form fit case is included.
