Mouse 30 Mahogany #1603. This beautiful bass features a 2 piece semi-hollow body made from American black cherry wood. Cherry has a beautiful warm hue, and will darken slightly over time, becoming even richer. The top wood is 1 piece of mahogany. It is rare to find boards large enough to make a one piece top, and this one has a really nice flowing grain pattern to it.

The 30” scale neck is made from reclaimed mahogany, and is topped with an aged Indian rosewood fingerboard. The line markers in the fingerboard are maple, inset into the rosewood, and sanded flush for a perfectly smooth feel. The bridge is also made from Indian rosewood, matching the fingerboard.

The strings are La Bella 760n, which are a steel core flatwound, with a thin outer layer of black nylon tape. They are very smooth to the touch, and make it easy to play in tune, as you can glide easily to the sweet spot of intonation.

The cherry wood body of this bass gives it a nice clarity, and combined with the mahogany top (which adds warmth) yields a full warm sound. Combined with the mahogany neck, which has a fast transient response, the overall sound of the bass is warm yet punchy.
